Proposed Projects

The following projects are currently under discussion with additional projects depicted on the Master Plan as the park develops.

Walking path - A grass walking path along State Route 2006 (Upper Brush Valley Road) is currently being investigated to provide safe movement from the Borough of Centre Hall to the park.  A more permanent path is envisoned for the future.

Walking/biking trail - By spring, a trail will be available for residents (and their four-legged friends) to begin using the park for exercise and enjoyment of the out-of-doors.

Conservation projects -  Discussions with the local office of the US Department of Agriculture and the local chapter of Pheasants Forever, have led to a proposal that will develop a 36-acre area as natural pheasant habitat and a disk golf course. As this habitat grows, trails will be mowed to provide forage for smaller wildlife and for the nature enjoyment of walkers, bikers and horseback riders.

Frisbee Golf Course - The Tri-municipal Park Committee has been working to create a partnership that will bring disk golf to the park.

Eagle Scout Projects - Local scouts are awaiting an opportunity to develop eagle scout projects.

  • Volleyball Court
  • Picnic pavillion
  • Benches
  • Distance markers
  • Flower beds

BMX Track – The American Bicycle Association would like to build a 2-3 acre park that will be open to the public.  Proper signage will explain the safety gear required for use of the park.

Skate Park - A skate park committee is currently being formed to look into fund raising and planning of a free community skate park. Ron Kimler (Millheim) and Nate Wessel (Centre Hall) (both well known in the skateboarding and BMX design and developing world) will be leading the designing and building of this park. The park expects to begin with a bowl, a snake run, and a street area leaving plenty of space for expansion. Anyone wishing to be involved or contribute to this project please contact Dave Whiteman, dwhiteman@trimunicipalpark.org , or Jane Scheuchenzuber, jscheuch@trimunicipalpark.org, placing "skate park" in the subject line.

Soccer fields - Anyone wishing to be involved or contribute to this project please contact Michele Whitman, mwhitman@trimunicipalpark.org, placing soccer fields in the subject line.
